More than 10 000 people were violently taken away from Estonia. The mass imprisonment and deportation of innocent civilians are international crimes that are not subject to statutes of limitation and cannot be justified. On today’s day of mourning, our thoughts are with those who lost their lives or suffered under Soviet repressions.
